Emily Joy: Welcome to my cult-a-sac of the internet! Writing has always been a love of mine but it became a real tool for healing and processing hard things in high school. It's been a journey for sure, as college and grad school have stifled this activity a little - but I always find my way back to my writing tabs. I often write in analogy not only to protect identities but to also make it as applicable and "not Emily" as possible. Writing grabs each reader differently, and that is worth the journey of creating and writing. May you be pulled into the story and meanings that rest beneath the surface :)
